Anti Squeeze is a safety system that ensures that, if there is an object that obstructs movement, the lift automatically stops. The amount of force needed for the lift to stop is the same as the load on the lift, i.e. the weight of the screen. This ensures that when contact is made, the lift can not accidentally topple the screen off the mount.
Due to the construction of the lifts and the different components required for varying loads and features, all have varying levels of noise. Whilst all are acceptable for normal use, there are differences in noise characteristics between the lifts, even in the same ranges.
The stroke length is important when looking to ensure an absolutely precise lift installation where the bottom edge of the screen must be at a certain height. In this case, there are two options: Mechanical adjustment which involves taking apart the lift and moving the mechanical stops to the desired height, (approx 20 mins), or Electronic height adjustment through the remote control. This is a quicker process and is less involved, (approx 3 mins).
In order to correctly select the right lift for your TV it is necessary to find out its physical properties.
Height of screen
This is related to the diagonal measurements (usually in inches) of the visible screen size. In order for us to offer a quick check, we have taken industry average measurements for screens to indicate the approximate screen size for each mount. Every screen differs due to size of bezel and aspect ratio and therefore it is critical to check compatibility through reference to the technical specifications in the support documents.
VESA mount patterns are industry standard mount positions whereby mainstream manufacturers know that their TV’s will be compatible with where brackets may be affixed to the rear of a TV to allow mounting onto lifts, wall mounts or stands.
It is important to ensure the VESA pattern on your TV is compatible with the Venset TV Lift.
The weight of the screen will determine which Venset TV lift to select. Check the weight of the screen and compare with the TV lift specification.
When using a lid lifter it is vitally important not to position the hinge of the lid too close to where the lid lifter makes contact.
It is especially important to follow the fitting instructions when using a lid lifter as incorrect positioning of the lid an hinge can lead to significant additional load which could damage the lift.
When choosing your Venset TV Lift, it is important to take these features into account.
